Khuthala loosely translated to meaning hard workers is the community based, rooted and mandated self-reliant and independent organisation which prides its in being the change that we seek and leading and championing environmental, social and economic wellbeing of our communities.
About Us
Khuthala Eco-Tourism Primary Co-Operative Limited was founded by its members on the 25th of March 2019.
The key aim and objectives of Khuthala Eco-Tourism Co-operative is improve the environmental conditions of our community, create job and business opportunities for its members and also support our local economic development.
All members of Khuthala Eco-Tourism Primary Co-Operative Limited have been involved in the Singajindi Majita initiative and also Khuthala Environmental Care Group.
Khuthala Environmental Movement, a regionally reputable and nationally recognised NGO, bolsters more than 25 years’ experience in environmental activism, environmental rehabilitation, restoration, regeneration,awareness, cleaning and greening projects. Much of these work were undertaken as volunteers. Volunteering, threatened the sustainability of the organisation.
Therefore, members resolved to establish Khuthala Eco-Tourism Primary Co-Operative Limited in 2019. Khuthala Eco-Tourism Primary Co-Operative Limited is establish as social enterprise, that seeks to alleviate poverty, generate an income through eco-tourism and cleaning and green projects and programmes.
